Signup for Traffic School — Step by Step

If you're like most people you don't get a speeding ticket very often so the concept of traffic school may seem foreign to you. This article will walk you through how online traffic school course works in easy steps. The system is designed to be very easy and takes you through online traffic school step-by-step. We have students from 15 to 88 years old that have completed traffic school on our system.

Step 1. Pay for Your Course

Go to the Florida Traffic School page and sign up for the course. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Our site is secure, and we do not store credit card numbers.

Step 2. Create an Account or Log into an Existing Account

To create an account, enter your email address and create a password.

Step 3. Log into the Course Dashboard

Upon entering your course dashboard, you will enter the following information:

  • Name, Address, Phone Number
  • Traffic Ticket Number or Case Number
  • The County Where You Received Your Ticket
  • Your Driver’s License Number

If you do not know your traffic ticket number, call the clerk of the court in the county where you received your traffic ticket to get your ticket number.

You will also set up answers to 10 security questions. Periodically throughout the course, the security questions will pop up on your screen. You will need to give the correct answer within 90 seconds. If you fail to answer three security questions, you will be locked out of your course. This is a DMV security requirement.

Step 4. Work Your Way Through the Course Materials

The Traffic School Course is organized in sections that you complete in order — here is how it works:

  • Each time you log in, you start where you left off
  • Each section of the course has a minimum amount of time you must complete to move forward
  • At the end of each section, there is a quiz — complete the quiz and then move to the next section
  • The total time for the course is 4 hours

Step 5. Finish Your Course

At the end of your course, you will complete a 40-question test. You must get at least 32 correct to pass. The test is not difficult if you pay attention to the material as you work through the course.

Your Completion Certificate

When you complete your traffic school course, you can download your certificate from your dashboard after five days. Or you can upgrade to Instant Digital Delivery for an additional fee to download it immediately.
